First Outing To Businesses

Today was the first day Mark Jr and a Church on the Rock Young Adult volunteer Vanessa went to local businesses to get donations for the silent auction we will be having and money as well as scout locations for posters we will be hanging.

I would say it was a success. With the ability to only go to a few places do to a limited time frame they were able to raise $100 from Jimmyz Hamburgers across from the college off of 12th street and they also would like to do monthly pledges to Sarah's Home.

He also received a few items from SonLight Books & Gifts off of patterson for the silent auction. One other company they went to was unable to assist at this time but better luck next time.

So we would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Jimmyz Hamburgers on 12th St. whos grand opening was March 10th 2012. Located at 1840 N.th Street Grand Jct. Co 81501

SonLight Christian Books & Gifts located at 2472 F Rd (Patterson) Monument Plaza Unit 9 (just east of Mesa Mall).

and we would also like to thank Dare to Car-E Inc. Auto Repair for allowing us to put a poster in your business. Located at at 2914 North Avenue Grand, Jct. CO 81504

God is so GOOD! We will continue to press forward as best as we can as God allows us to in efforts to help raise $70,000 for Sarah's Home.

First Missions Trip to Sarahs Home

Today March 14th 2012 the first round of people will be headed up to Sarah's Home and begin breaking ground on this new project we have been working so hard for.

This first team of construction crew will begin doing some demo work in efforts to assist in the new build that will be taking place April 1st. So if you really want to think about it these guys and gals will begin working on breaking down the walls of Jericho today.

We pray for safe travels for this first team of people and strength for their bodies to do the work they are set out to do for the next couple of days. Thank you team from Church on the Rock for being willing to take action and help with this large project.

Their goal is to also be able to do some ministry into the community around the area to enable them to be aware of the fact that we need to work together as one in efforts to bring about goodness and gentleness in this endeavor. We hope to be able to have pictures as soon as the return home.

For more information on this first trip or on Sarah's Home please be sure to go to www.facebook.com/sarahshome or www.women.rmdc.org

Sarah's Home

Sarah's Home is a home in Colorado for juvenile girls who have been rescued from being sexually exploited & trafficked in the United States. It will be a specialized place to meet the distinctive needs of young girls, and it will provide a refuge for healing and hope for the future.
Construction begins in March to alter an existing facility into a house with 4 bedrooms with a possibility of beds for 8 young girls to begin with and hopes of 16 young girls at max capacity in the future. This facility will provide housing, counseling, comfort, care, education and safety with Godly principles.
With sex trafficking on the rise around the world Sarah's Home will be the first of its kind in the state of Colorado. Sarah's Home is purely funded by generous donations from, private and corporate donors, churches, foundations and special events such as this one.
